This event was special because all the Telecare Ventura programs (VISTA, VOICE, Horizon View Mental Health Rehabilitation Center, Camarillo Casas) and Agnes Ave and Carmen Lane in Santa Barbara participated. Alejandra Gomez, peer support specialist, created a collage of events that walked staff and members through time, starting from the beginning to the moment President Biden made Juneteenth a holiday. Janisha Vargas, case manager II, presented to the staff and members. It was insightful and helped everyone understand the holiday and its significance.
