Alejandra Gomez, peer support specialist, created a collage of events that walked staff and members through time, starting from the beginning to the moment President Biden made Juneteenth a holiday. Janisha Vargas, case manager II, presented to the staff and members. It was insightful and helped everyone understand the holiday and its significance.

We strive to see people as unique individuals and be aware not to see people in terms of categories or labels. We choose to listen and ask questions and not assume. Finally, we value the diversity of the individuals we work with and serve. These values and behaviors are important to all people and communities.
