Shannon LEgere, director of housing and homeless services at telecare

On behalf of Faith Richie, Telecare’s Senior Vice President of Development, we are delighted to announce that Shannon Legere is returning to Telecare as the Director of Housing and Homeless Services.

In this new role, Shannon will be reporting both to Faith and Anita Barnas, Senior Vice President of Operations, since she will have both Development and Operations responsibilities. This will include being our subject matter expert on housing and homeless programs: leading Telecare’s efforts to access an array of safe, affordable, appropriate housing for individuals served in our community programs; and positioning Telecare as a provider of housing-based services for individuals experiencing homelessness. As an example, Shannon initially worked on informing an RFP for Housing FSP services in Orange County and is leading the design and development of a Recuperative Care model in Alameda County serving homeless individuals with co-morbid medical, mental health and substance use issues leaving acute hospitals.

Shannon began at Telecare in 2016 as the Regional Director of Operations in Los Angeles and Kern County’s, providing leadership for our La Casa and our Ridgecrest CSU programs. Prior to joining Telecare, Shannon worked as the Chief Program Officer at PATH (People Assisting the Homeless in Los Angeles), and as the Program Development Officer at MHA-LA. In the interim since leaving Telecare in early 2019, Shannon took a leadership role with Orange County as the Director of Housing and Homeless Services.

We are so delighted that Shannon is re-joining us — her expertise and history with housing and homeless services make her ideal for this new role at Telecare. Her previous leadership experience with Telecare means that she can immediately use her expertise to guide us, fully understanding Telecare as a provider and its unique culture and range of programs.
