About the Program: Los Angeles Regional Programs

Telecare Los Angeles has been serving Los Angeles County since 1986, operating 15 programs across community services, crisis residential treatment, and psychiatric health facilities. The region supports individuals with serious mental illness, unhoused families, and people returning from incarceration throughout Los Angeles, Kern, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties, and also Yuma, and Cochise counties in Arizona.

Event Activities/Highlights

  • Celebrated Telecare's 60th anniversary and Telecare Los Angeles’ 39th year of partnership with Los Angeles County on October 22, 2025, at the MLK program with a special leadership and customer celebration.

  • Program leaders from 14 LA programs gathered for a luncheon celebration, decorated with 60th anniversary-themed décor. Programs represented included all seven community programs (Los Angeles Older Adults, LA IMD Step Down, LA HOP 4, LA JIMHCS, ATLAS, LA HOP 7, TABS), all three CRTs (Magnolia House, Citrus House, and Olive House), all three La Casa campus programs (MHRC, PHF, MHUCC), and MLK Adult PHF.

  • President and CEO Anne Bakar, SVP Chief Program Operations Officer Anita Barnas, SVP Chief Development Officer Dawan Utecht, and the entire Executive Committee joined the celebration to honor the region’s incredible journey.

  • County partners Paul Arns and his team, Anthony, and Joo delivered speeches alongside Telecare executives, celebrating the enduring partnership.

  • Community partners, including Paul Foreman and Housing partners, Nevil and Vimal from Advantage Pharmacy, FQHCs, and ACHSA leader Jodi, joined the festivities.

  • Leaders reconnected and shared stories about challenges overcome together, from expanding services to supporting clients through difficult times.
