Program Type: Community-Based

# of Members: 175 members

Who We Serve: Adults, ages 26-59, who are at risk for hospitalization or institutionalization, are homeless or at risk of homelessness, face criminal justice involvement, have not been successful with traditional mental health programs, and those transitioning from institutional settings

Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; crisis services are offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

About the Program: Telecare Los Angeles Hopes and Opportunities Program (LA HOP) operates under contract with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health to provide culturally competent mental health services to adults with serious mental illnesses. This program began in 1999 as one of the first homeless outreach programs in the state of California. In 2007, LA HOP transformed into a Full Service Partnership under the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA).
