Western Riverside CSU Achieves Dual Diagnosis Capable Status
/
Telecare is proud to announce that Western Riverside CSU has achieved Dual Diagnosis Capable status and is now able to deliver integrated care for individuals with co-occurring mental health and mild to moderate substance use disorders.
The Dual Diagnosis Capability in Mental Health Treatment (DDCMHT) toolkit is a resource provided by the Substance Use and Mental Health Treatment Administration (SAMHSA) to support the delivery of integrated care.
Telecare Corporation is actively working to become Co-Occurring Capable across all of our 175+ programs. Nationally, people with co-occurring serious mental illness and substance use disorders experience high rates of adverse outcomes, including suicide risk, hospitalization, and poor social functioning. Treatment that is integrated is more effective than treatment that is parallel or sequential. By providing integrated care, we believe we can help bridge gaps in care and help people move forward in their lives and recovery.
Western Riverside CSU is Telecare’s first CSU in Riverside County to achieve this status. This achievement reflects the team’s hard work and dedication in ensuring that members receive integrated, evidence-based care.
Congratulations to the team for this outstanding achievement!
