Muriel Wright Center Digs Deep into Garden Revival

Telecare's Muriel Wright Center program recently hosted a celebration and dedication. The team has tended to a garden in the facility's back area for two and a half years. This year, the remarkable nursing students, including the exceptional Carey Martin, the program's nurse practitioner, and with the enthusiastic involvement of clients, the garden has experienced a magnificent revival. It has transformed into a serene and vibrant space where various vegetables, spices, and fruits grow, providing fresh ingredients for the program's kitchen and meals. This beautiful garden is a valuable platform for clients to learn the joys of cultivating their food, fostering a sense of community, embracing the therapeutic benefits of gardening, and facilitating their recovery journey.

In a heartfelt tribute, the facility honors the memory of Renwick Craft, an admirable former staff member who played a significant role in the addiction community of Santa Clara County and the Bay Area. Renwick dedicated two years of his life to the program during its early stages, leaving an unforgettable impact. With his passing over a year ago, the team, current and past clients, and community members have come together to celebrate Renwick's unwavering loyalty to the community. The creation of the new garden symbolizes a fresh chapter at Muriel Wright Center, embodying growth, healing, and hope. The celebration was filled with delicious food and uplifting music, encapsulating the spirit of unity and growth.

We thank the team, clients, and members for their continuous support, strength, and commitment to creating a nurturing environment. The dedication and efforts of Muriel Wright Center exemplify the positive impact that can be achieved when compassion, resolve, and the beauty of nature converge.

In memory of Renwick Craft and in honor of all those who have contributed to the success of Muriel Wright Center, we celebrate the resilience, compassion, and determined spirit that continue to shape our community.
