Who We Serve: Inmates of the Alameda County — Santa Rita Jail.

About the Program: Telecare Santa Rita Jail Adult Forensic Behavioral Health is made up of a multidisciplinary team of nursing and clinical staff who work on-site in the jail to provide routine, urgent, and emergency services to the inmate population. Behavioral health services include intake, screening, assessment, crisis intervention, crisis response, medication management, response to referrals, and more.

Telecare Santa Rita Jail Adult Forensic Behavioral Health program is possible through the partnership between Telecare, Alameda County Behavioral Health Services, and the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department. The program provides a Seeking Safety Group meeting to the clients within the housing units of the correctional facility. The group meets four times daily between 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The program also provides overnight crisis coverage and conducts mental health assessments at the correctional facilities from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. (Santa Rita Jail is open 24/7. Our program exists to ensure coverage overnight as well as daytime services.)
