About the Program: Telecare’s T.A.O. South program operates under contract with the County of Orange Health Care Agency to provide culturally competent, mental health services to adults with serious mental illness. This program is aptly named Telecare and Orange AMHS or T.A.O. South—"tao" means the process of nature by which all things change, which is to be followed for a life of harmony.
T.A.O. uses a multidisciplinary team, which includes a psychiatrist, a nurse, a Masters-prepared team lead, and personal service coordinators with experience in both drug and alcohol and mental health. A number of staff members consist of consumers. T.A.O. offers a low staff-to-member ratio and provides 75% of services in the community. The program serves as the fixed point of responsibility for all members. Caseloads are shared among the team members. We believe in a "whatever it takes" approach in supporting clients
