San Diego CARE Court Celebrates New Graduates
/We are thrilled to share that Telecare's CARE Court ACT program in San Diego celebrated a graduation on April 23. Jack V. and Clifford M. completed the program at a full-courthouse ceremony, receiving certificates and personal acknowledgments from the Judge, Public Defender, County Counsel, and the Behavioral Health Services team.
Telecare's CARE Court ACT program delivers time-limited, community-based, holistic support to people who meet CARE criteria in partnership with San Diego County Behavioral Health. The program’s person-centered approach meets people wherever they are in their recovery, addressing complex needs and connecting them to resources to help them thrive in their community.
The program operates under California’s Community, Assistance, Recovery, and Empowerment (CARE) Act, implemented in 2023 to support individuals with schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders while preserving their autonomy and dignity.
Clinical Director Gina Habashy, Clinician Kirsten Like, and Program Administrator Feroozan Gailani were on hand to celebrate alongside the graduates. We are so proud of Jack, Clifford, and the entire CARE Court team for this milestone!
