Casa Grande ACT Employees Band Together to Serve Members After a Summer Monsoon

Late this summer, a monsoon hit Pinal County, Arizona, where Telecare’s Casa Grande ACT program is located. The impact? One-third of the program’s members and families were left without electricity for three days as temperatures soared to 110 degrees.

That’s when two of the program’s case workers, Amanda Debold and Nicole Patino, acted quickly to get necessities to members in need.

They delivered dry ice, non-perishable food, candles, flashlights, and batteries to more than 20 individuals in very rural parts of Arizona. Some were even transported to cool spots to stay overnight if they chose to. No member was left unattended thanks to these two ladies.

Marcelo Cavalheiro, Telecare’s Regional Director of Operations in Los Angeles County and Southern Arizona, would like to take a moment to thank everyone involved in this heroic effort.

I am honored to know each one of our Arizona staff members personally. This is how they live their lives outside of work as well, said Marcelo.
