Pride Month at Los Angeles Older Adults

Pride Month is underway at Telecare's Los Angeles Older Adults (LAOA) program. The facility is celebrating with a series of events and activities that show support for the LGBTQIA+ community. Staff members have included a variety of rainbow decorations in their halls.

LGBTQIA+ Month is observed every year in June. This month is dedicated to celebrating the progress made for LGBTQIA+ rights and acknowledging the community's challenges. The Stonewall Riots of 1969 were a turning point in the fight for equal rights and justice. In honor of those achievements, the community continues to fight for equality and justice.

The team will be having an All Staff Meeting to set aside time to incorporate Telecare's Recovery-Centered Clinical Systems Tidbit of the Month - Our Stories. This will allow everyone to come together and listen to personal stories from both staff and members. While this is going on, the group will be able to enjoy some delicious rainbow-themed food.

The LAOA team is doing excellent, and Telecare is immensely proud of them. It's great to see that they're honoring Pride Month and ensuring that their members have a safe space to share their stories.
