Muriel Wright SUTS Parenting and Fatherhood Program Graduates First Class of Fathers

On May 18, 2022, the Telecare Muriel Wright Substance Use Treatment Services (SUTS) program graduated its first class of fathers from its intensive parenting and fatherhood group. This milestone represents the positive difference the program makes for fathers and their families.

Fatherhood and parenting can be a challenging but rewarding journey. It is a continuous learning process. Eight fathers have all graduated and committed to becoming the best versions of themselves. They've renewed their agreement on what it means to be a father.

Dr. Michael Ybarra facilitated and processed an eight-week program focused on mental wellness, recovery, and parenting. The program was very in-depth, providing participants with ample opportunity to explore these concepts in great detail.

The increase in positive male role models and better parenting skills is a welcome addition to any community. Providing participants with a nurturing and supportive environment and the necessary tools to better tackle their roles as parents helps increase their investment in their families and communities. Thanks to this program, these fathers are empowered to create lasting, positive change and will undoubtedly make a difference!

Thank you to Dr. Michael Ybarra and Muriel Wright SUTS for putting together this truly remarkable and meaningful program! The work you have invested in this is incredible and life-changing!
