Stephanie Ramirez, New Administrator at Riverside Desert CSU!

Telecare welcomes Stephanie Ramirez as Riverside Desert Mental Health Urgent Care administrator in Palm Springs, CA!

Background and Unique Experience

Stephanie most recently served as the clinical director and designer at Laguna Beach Community Clinic. In this role, she assisted with designing and launching mental health programs for primary care clinics. Stephanie took on this opportunity while supporting the Merrill Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) program as needed. Before her work with Laguna Beach Community Clinic, she was a full-time team lead with our Merrill CSU program in Fontana, where she developed her leadership skills.

Stephanie has experience working with all ages in Youth Hope in San Bernardino, utilizing multiple methods such as group, individual, and couples counseling to help clients with crises, dual diagnoses, and the serious mental illness (SMI) population. Stephanie has also worked as a psychiatric social worker at Kaiser Permanente Behavioral Health in Fontana, providing support and therapy to adults and adolescents going through mental health crises.

We are thrilled to have Stephanie as part of the Riverside-Nebraska region, and we are confident her experience will lead to excellent outcomes for our Desert CSU!

Thoughts on Leadership:

“I lead by example. I believe it’s important to model appropriate behaviors and a positive attitude with the individuals I lead and serve. I believe in encouraging my staff and working alongside them, so they feel supported and comfortable coming to me with any concerns or help they may need. I have an open door policy and enjoy building rapport, so the team feels comfortable seeking support.”

Thoughts on Recovery:

“I firmly believe that everyone undergoes recovery, in some form, in their life. One aspect that I really like about Telecare is the Recovery-Centered values. By using RCCS, you can build the recovery values into the program and follow that model.”
