About the Program:
In order to be considered for placement at the facility, all clients need to be 18 years or older in age, have a diagnosed major mental illness, and be in acute crisis as described in the following: danger to self; and gravely disabled.
Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
The Clark County Telecare Evaluation and Treatment Center is a 11-bed facility, providing both voluntary and involuntary inpatient evaluation and treatment to individuals who are experiencing acute psychiatric distress. These individuals may also need acute detoxification from substances. The program's goal is to support people in stabilizing their symptoms so that they may quickly return home to the community. Most people will stay at CCT between 3-7 days.
Furthermore, clients have access to a Transitional Case Management Team at the E&T. The program is the first of its kind to operate out of an acute evaluation and treatment center. Its primary purpose is to meet state requirements and ensure that clients are connected to community services within seven days of acute and are seen by a prescriber within 30 days.
