Kim Ishimine is a Telecare Hero!

Kim is our devoted Director of Rehabilitation at La Casa MHRC. She has been a member of the Rehab team and valued employee for over 25 years here at La Casa.

Shortly after she was promoted to Director of Rehabilitation one year ago, Kim found an opportunity to enrich the Rehab program. She discovered the Jump Start Fellowship Program in Los Angeles and began hosting college interns as rehab interns at La Casa. Kim found that these interns were very qualified to apply for regular employee positions here. Since she started this collaboration she has hired several Jump Start interns as on-call, part-time, and full-time employees. These interns come with hands on skills working with the chronically mentally ill in a rehabilitation capacity. We are so proud of our Jump Start interns and feel honored to have them join our Telecare family. What a hero Kim has been in maximizing this fellowship program for our Rehab program, our staff, and our clients! Thank you Kim for all the hard work you have put into this endeavor!
