Chris Curry was transferred from day to swing shift earlier in the summer and has proved to be a strong member of our team. Chris makes an extraordinary effort to spend time on the other side of the desk and engage with clients. The space and attention he lends to people allows them to feel safe in engaging in heartfelt conversations, and the grounded presence he exudes certainly transfers to others around him. Chris is also invaluable in high stakes situations where a client’s safety is at risk. I’ve worked with Chris several times when addressing such incidents, and can say his responsiveness and collaborative attitude has greatly contributed in restoring the unit to a therapeutic environment. Chris also should be commended his excellent attendance record, his upbeat attitude among team members, and being a role model for self-care.
