ACT Spectrum Key TAO, operated by Telecare Corporation, is a client-centered, recovery-oriented and culturally sensitive Full Service Partnership (FSP) in Anaheim, which is located in Orange County, California. This program is aptly named Telecare and Orange Adult Mental Health Services or TAO, which means the process of nature by which all things change and that is to be followed for a life of harmony.

TAO uses a multidisciplinary team, which includes a psychiatrist, a nurse, a Masters prepared team lead, and personal service coordinators with a background in drug/alcohol, vocational rehabilitation and/or housing/community resources. This program offers a low staff to client ratio and it provides 75 % of services in the community, such as the client's home, the mall, a coffee house, a park, or wherever the client is comfortable.

What Makes Us Different

TAO has an active Wellness Center that includes a Peer Mentor group that takes a lead role in directing activities in the Wellness Center, including event and activity planning.

TAO uses Transformational Care Planning, a client-centered and recovery-oriented treatment planning method that puts the member in the driver's seat of their recovery. We also use Common Ground, a recovery-centered tool developed by Pat Deegan and Associates to assist members in making more meaningful decisions in their treatment.

TAO started an Advanced Recovery Program for those who do not need the intensity of services provided by an FSP, but that are not quite ready to transition from the program.

At TAO we have the Annual Zen Awards Banquet where members and local interested parties get together to celebrate recovery. We have a catered lunch that the TAO band plays and there are skits and speech-making, culminating in members receiving awards in various categories.
