Telecare is pleased to announce plans to operate a new crisis mental health program in Santa Barbara County.
CARES Crisis Residential North will be a voluntary, short-stay environment that offers people a place to regain a sense of stability after a mental health crisis. Its purpose is to help individuals stabilize and return to their previous level of functioning so that they may return home or transition to less intensive levels of service.
Who Will Be Served
- Santa Barbara County adults, between 18-59
- Program serves individuals on a voluntary basis only
Program Size
- Up to 12 individuals
Length of Stay
- Typically 5-10 days
Services Will Include
- Comprehensive assessment, including consideration of cultural issues that influence the situation
- Medication and prescription services
- A wide array of therapeutic services to identify and resolves issues that have contributed to the crisis
- Linkage with community resources for ongoing support. Where appropriate, family and other supports are included in this process.
Staffing
The CARES Crisis Residential North program will be well-staffed. There will be an array of clinical staff, including physicians, registered nurses, licensed professionals and paraprofessionals, and consumer/family employees.
