Our Customers

Telecare works in concert with our customers to solve problems, save money, and deliver recovery-centered services that enable people to live their lives in a more hopeful, healthful, fulfilling way, in line with their hopes and dreams. Our customers include a variety of agencies and organizations:

PUBLIC MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEMS

Telecare has partnered with public mental health systems since our inception in 1965. Programs for public mental health systems commonly focus on individuals with complex needs and long histories of illness, who are often frequent users of county resources, including ERs, psychiatric emergency services, and law enforcement services.

PRIVATE HEALTH CARE ORGANIZATIONS

Telecare also partners with private health care organizations, including HMOs, offering specific mental health services to their covered patients, complimenting the customer’s current array of services. Programs commonly focus on individuals who need shorter-term acute inpatient care, or, community-based supports and case management, to prevent unnecessary hospitalization and foster successful community living.

DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY ORGANIZATIONS

Telecare partners with numerous developmental disabilities organizations (known as Regional Centers in California) to operate programs for people who are diagnosed with an Axis I mental illness and co-occurring developmental disability, such as cerebral palsy, mental retardation, epilepsy, autism or other related conditions. Programs commonly focus on recovery-centered non-acute inpatient and community-based services, which enable people to receive treatment in their local community, while supporting the recovery process and preparing for transition to lower levels of care.

FORENSIC / CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM

Telecare has worked with county and state forensic systems to provide a wide array of services to people with serious mental illness who are currently incarcerated, as well as to those transitioning out of incarceration. Programs meet a variety of client needs including short-term inpatient acute care, and community-based support services focused on reducing unnecessary hospitalization and jail/prison recidivism, as well as establishing housing, benefits, healthcare and other elements that enhance community stability and recovery.

MEDICAL/SURGICAL HOSPITAL SYSTEMS

Telecare provides psychiatric management services for acute care medical/surgical hospitals that need solutions for expanding their psychiatric services, while effectively managing day to day operations.  Programs focus on serving the acute psychiatric needs of both adults and older adults, while supporting the hospital in developing clinically sound, financially viable business unit.
