New Crisis Program Opened in Stanislaus County

Stanislaus Crisis Stabilization Unit

On February 29, Telecare opened the doors to the Stanislaus County Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). Created in partnership with Stanislaus County’s Behavioral Health Department, the unlocked, 4-chair CSU is co-located with the Stanislaus Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) and provides 24/7 emergency service for adults who are experiencing a mental-health related crisis.

The CSU is Medi-Cal certified and offers services that emphasize choice-making skills and harm-reduction techniques where clients can receive immediate, individualized assistance to stabilize symptoms, and receive appropriate referrals to community-based resources.
