Mercy Hospital Ardmore to Open New Geropsych Program with Telecare
Next month, we're expanding our services to Ardmore, Oklahoma, where we will assist Mercy Hospital Ardmore in creating a new 16-bed geropsychiatric inpatient unit. The program -- specifically tailored to address the unique mental health needs of seniors aged 65 and above -- is scheduled to open by June 30, 2014. Telecare worked with Mercy Hospital Ardmore to obtain a Certificate of Need (CON) approval from the Oklahoma Department of Health for adding the new acute inpatient geropsychiatric unit. The approval was obtained in less than 120 days.
