Kaiser Telecare Program for Intensive Community Support Summarizes 8th Year in Operations

Kaiser Program for Intensive Community Support, 2006 Customer ReportThe Kaiser Telecare Program for Intensive Community Support (KPFICS) recently complete a summary of its outcomes in 2006.
KPFIC is an intensive case management program specifically for Kaiser members, age 18 and over, in San Diego County. It specializes in serving individuals who have used significant acute inpatient services or are at risk for inpatient hospitalizations. Many clients are also diagnosed with co-occurring substance abuse disorders.
Major accomplishments in 2006:
- Reduced inpatient hospitalizations by 1,251 days over a baseline of 1,961 days
- Reduced psychiatric hospital days by 64%
Client Satisfaction:
- 98% "Staff and I worked together on my treatment plan; I felt comfortable asking questions about my treatment
- 98% "I liked the services I received here."
- 100% "Staff believed I could change and recover."
