The Heritage Psychiatric Center in Oakland is now accepting new insurance carriers.
Accepted Insurance Plans:
- Managed Healthcare Network
- Cigna
- United Behavioral Health (as of 3/1/06)
- United Healthcare (as of 3/1/06)
- Blue Shield (as of 3/1/06)

Program Details:
- 26-bed acute inpatient program; secure setting; LOS typically 3-7 days
- Licensed staff on every shift, including physicians, and over 35 RNs, LVNs and LCSWs
Services:
- Services can be voluntary or involuntary
- Comprehensive evaluation and risk assessment Collaborative treatment planning with a recovery focus
- Crisis planning and prevention
- Supportive counseling, on a group and individual basis
- Medication evaluation and management
- Discharge planning, including linkage with community supports and services
