Telecare Annual Report FY07-08Telecare Annual Report FY07-08

Telecare is pleased to share our first company-wide annual report for the fiscal year of 2007-2008.

Since 1965, Telecare has partnered with both public and private behavioral health agencies to develop recovery-centered, supportive services for people with serious mental illness. This year, we partnered with many of these agencies to add new services to their systems of care, to reimagine and redesign existing programs, and to celebrate numerous program milestones and anniversaries.

In FY07-08, Telecare made its Recovery-Centered Clinical System (RCCS) materials available online. We saw continued decreases in seclusions and restraints, an encouraging trend that has gained momentum since Telecare introduced its recovery vision into inpatient programs over ten years ago. We also partnered with Boston University to develop a standardized competency-based training on the RCCS. We are focusing first on taking abstract concepts such as hope and identity, and making them practical, tangible and actionable in an easy-to-replicate system.

During FY07-08, Telecare served over 22,500 individuals, hosted over 210 nursing students and interns, welcomed over 264 new employees who came to us through employee referrals, was recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Best Places to Work in the Bay Area, and saw over 88 Telecare employees promoted from within.

We welcome you to learn more about Telecare in this year's annual report, where we highlight moving examples of transformation, hope, determination and partnership, in our shared efforts to support people in recovery from serious mental illness.
