We are currently looking for RN’s On-Call and Part-Time at Telecare, La Casa (Mental Health Urgent Care Center (MHUCC) and La Casa Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) in Long Beach.

The MHUCC is a place where people can come that are experiencing mental health crises and are in need of help.

As a consumer-focused program, its goals are to provide immediate relief to people in distress and to help them maintain stability in their lives. The program is designed to help people avoid involuntary hospitalization, psych ER visits and incarceration.

The RN provides screening, assessment, and assists in linking services needed by clients and their families to overcome the crisis which brought them into the program.

 

The PHF unit is a 16 bed acute in-patient facility.

Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse, Unit Supervisor supervises activities that are performed by professional and paraprofessional nursing personnel. This involves coordination of all care provided clients with a focus on maintaining the quality of services rendered.

 

Requirements:

•     One (1) year of experience providing direct nursing care to mentally impaired individuals in a psychiatric facility preferred.

•     Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of California

•     A valid CPR Certificate is also required.
