Anne Bakar Honored At Iris Alliance Gala

Iris Alliance Gala (2005): Mary Hayashi, Tipper Gore, Anne BakarOn October 19, 2005, Telecare President and CEO Anne Bakar was honored by the Iris Alliance at its annual Fund Gala for her contributions through Telecare to the mental health community. Also being featured and recognized were Tipper Gore, Darrell Steinberg and Rusty Selix.
The Iris Alliance Fund holds this gala to raise awareness about youth suicide and the serious disparities that exist in America?s mental health care system.

Honoring ANNE BAKAR, President & CEO, Telecare Corporation
Telecare Corporation is one of the largest providers of mental health care services in the nation. In her 15 plus years as President and CEO, Ms. Bakar has overseen the strategic direction and growth of the organization and has worked positively to influence the mental health systems in which Telecare operates. A strong advocate and proponent of mental health legislation, Ms. Bakar was a key supporter of the "Yes on 63" proposition for increasing mental health funding in alifornia.

Recognizing RUSTY SELIX & DARRELL STEINBERG, Authors of Proposition 63
Rusty Selix is the executive director of the Mental Health Association of California. Darrell Steinberg is a former member of the California State Assembly and a current member of the Mental Health Services Act?s Oversight and Accountability ommission.
