We have some exciting news! In early November, Telecare learned that we were awarded another 3-year accreditation by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

CARF accreditation demonstrates that a provider is committed to high-quality, consumer-centered services that meet rigorous international standards. CARF is also important because it gives our entire organization a clear, structured, ongoing process for improving the quality of our client-centered services.

But what makes our most recent certification even more exciting is that it was actually the biggest survey CARF has ever done:

  • More than 69 programs
  • In 12 different program types
  • Across 4 states
  • With 17 surveyors
  • And over 2.5 days to complete the effort

It’s been an invaluable opportunity for us to learn from CARF’s incredibly experienced and generous surveyor team. It was fun and exhilarating and we wanted to share some highlights.

Want to see how we're using CARF to deliver better services at Telecare? We visited CHANGES Co-Occurring Conditions Recovery Program in Alameda County, California to hear their CARF stories.

Are you interested in learning more about the CARF process? If so, please let us know, and Dana Smith, Telecare's Director of Quality, can host a GoToMeeting or conference call to share more details and answer your questions.

All the best,
Faith Richie, SVP of Development, Telecare Corporation
